Step onto the captivating world of Hotrail Productions, where the magic of lights, camera, and trains combines to create an unforgettable experience. I travel all over the country photographing railroad history in the making. My footage dates back to 1995. Whether it's a thrilling action sequence or a heartwarming romantic scene, the railway has long been a favorite setting for filmmakers and TV producers.

Vintage Cantilevel Railroad Crossing Signal in Plymouth, Indiana
This Vintage Cantilevel Railroad Crossing Signal guards the Elkhart & Western Railroad at Adams Street in Plymouth, Indiana. The railroad crossing signage has been updated, as has the railroad crossing bell. The short cantilever remains in service to support the lights. This is the former Nickel Plate Railroad secondary line that once connected Indianapolis and Michigan City.

TWO CN Railroad trains MEET at Wellsboro, IN 2012!
I returned to Wellsboro to record the heavy train traffic, and was not disappointed. I caught a meet between two CN trains on the Battle Creek line. This is the former Grand Trunk Western Railroad. Both trains clear the diamond at almost the same time! Note that the bell for the railroad crossing gate stops before the gate lowers. The first train is carrying ship containers on the rear. "CELEBATE! CELEBRATE! DANCE TO THE RAILFAN MUSIC!" Filmed on June 10, 2012.

Railroad Crossing Arms With Offset Bell
